Watami offers student deals with nothing over $12.90++. If you are feeling thrifty, opt for the Beef Pepper Rice Set ($8.90++) - it is the most affordable meal on their menu. All sets come with either a bowl of miso soup or rice and a drink.
I usually go for the Salmon Sashimi Rice Set, priced at $11.90++ (U.P. $15.90++), because it saves me a whopping $4 when I flash my student card! It comes with a generous portion of fish roe, fresh slices of raw salmon, and bouncy tamagoyaki. Aesthetically pleasing with plenty of vibrant elements, this is one dish you definitely have to post on Instagram Stories.

2) Pizza Hut
Only a ‘weirdough’ does not like pizza. Pizza Hut is offering student meals from $5.90++ onwards which includes a main AND free flow soft drinks.
Whenever I’m in a celebratory mood, I would pair my Pepperoni Personal Pan Pizza with cheesy fries or garlic bread for an additional $2. Otherwise, there’s also the sweet and spicy drumlets or honey roasted wings for an additional $2.50. What a steal!

3) Monster Curry
Quality curry at affordable prices? Yes, please. Their curry is made from a mixture of 14 different spices and vegetables boiled over 48 hours. You are not alone when you find yourself marvelling at the monstrous size of the dish because the plate is probably twice the size of your face - Monster Curry certainly lives up to its name.
Choose from either Tori-Karaage, Cheese Omelette, Fried Shrimp, or Sausage Curry to pair with a cup of homemade ice lemon tea at only $9.80++. Upon ordering, you can choose from 6 different levels of spice. Request for your curry to be served separately if you want to experiment how much spice you can take. But wait, don’t forget the free-flow drinks! The options are endless - A&W, Fanta and Sprite, just to name a few. Drinks are also categorised by low or no calories, caffeine-free, and fruit flavoured which is perfect for the health conscious.

My personal favourite is the ¼ Chicken, with a side dish of Regular PERi-PERi Chips. As an A&W fan, my choice of bottomless drink would be the A&W Cherry Vanilla (anyone else too?). It is definitely recommended to try all their addictive sauces because they give your meal that extra oomph!
