Movie? Nothing much screening now. Drinks? No feels. Dinner? Not sure what to eat.

Running out of SRV credits for staycays, and date spots to visit with your lover boy or girl in 2021? We??ve rounded up some fun places to help you keep the spark alive; two of which have yet to launch officially so mark your calendar!

Dine with Crayon Shin-chan

Love everything about the popular Japanese anime, Crayon Shin-chan (La Bi Xiao Xin) from the protagonist's thick eyebrows to endless mischiefs? You??re in luck!

From 5 May 2021, you??ll be able to relive your childhood at a pop-up cafe at Jalan Klapa which currently houses Molang, a French/South Korean animated character. The brains behind this is none other than Kumoya, the first cafe in Southeast Asia dedicated to bringing in various themed pop-up cafes.

All their food and drinks feature the bubbly character, with prices ranging from S$10.90 to S$26.90 (subject to GST). Each drink comes with an exclusive Crayon Shin-chan coaster, while stocks last. Check out the full menu here.

To avoid long queues, we recommend making a booking on Chope. However, walk-ins are accepted too.

Learn how to Kayak

If you and your partner are into sports, why not use the weekend to learn a new skill? Soak up some Vitamin D and have a splashing good time learning how to kayak with the Personal Skills Star Award Course.

There are plenty of course providers available in the market but if your schedule is a little more packed, the Singapore Canoe Foundation offers a few dates to choose from. Lessons span across two weekends, with each lasting for six hours.

It costs S$80 per pax but absolutely no experience is needed. As long as you know how to swim 50 metres with a PFD (personal flotation device), and you??re at least 12 years old, you??re good to go. At the end of the course, attendees will be awarded with a certificate. There are 5 levels of difficulty in total.

Go for a hike at Chestnut Nature Park

Thinking of taking things slow? Take your partner for a well-deserved break amid nature. Throw on your activewear and head over to Chestnut Nature Park for a hike!

Chestnut Nature Park consists of two areas - North and South. The Northern trail (3.5km) is said to provide more shade, better catering to beginners. On the flipside, the Southern trail (2.1km) has steeper terrains, and is more ideal for absorbing Vitamin D.

In addition to being the largest nature park in Singapore, the park is the first of its kind to have exclusive hiking and biking trails. The mountain biking trails vary across 4 levels of difficulty. While you??re there, keep a lookout for endangered bird species such as the Brown-chested Jungle Flycatcher and Straw-headed Bulbul among many other wildlife.

We recommend going over earlier in the day if you??re travelling by car to secure a parking spot, especially on the weekends.

Sweeten your relationship at the Museum of Ice Cream

Growing up, we were told not to play with food. But now, your ticket to do just that has arrived.

Similar to The Bubble Tea Factory which took Instagram by storm, the Museum of Ice Cream is an experiential exhibition filled with photo-worthy installations at every corner.

The complete list of installations have yet to be released, but what we do know is that visitors can expect more than 14 multi-sensory installations (including their signature Sprinkle Pool, Singapore-inspired ??Dragon Playground?, and a pink and yellow Banana Jungle). Guides will also be stationed on-ground to hype visitors up.

The exhibition hails from New York City, and Singapore will be its first stop outside of the United States. Doors will only open in August, but tickets have already been sold out within 48 hours of its release. Snag your ticket for the month of September here before it??s too late! Prices start from S$38, but children aged 2 and under are entitled to free admission.
