Travelling abroad is still out of the question but if you??re feeling burnt out, here??s where the S$100 SingapoRediscovers vouchers (SRV) come in handy.

What to know about the SingapoRediscovers vouchers

These vouchers have been distributed to all Singapore Citizens aged 18 and above with the goal of aiding local tourism businesses. They can be used for attractions, hotels and tours in denominations of $10 from 1 Dec 2020 to 30 Jun 2021. However, do note that SingPass is required for each redemption.

To redeem your vouchers: Head over to any of these 5 sites - GlobalTix, Trip.com, Changi Recommends, Klook and Traveloka. Look out for products labelled with the SRV icon to narrow your search results! During the checkout process, you??ll be prompted to log in via SingPass and a promo code will be generated. Input the promo code to complete your purchase.

Note: The SRV cannot be combined with that of another individual. Those with family members below the age of 18 can obtain up to six $10 subsidies for child/youth tickets. However, you must have at least S$10 left in your SingapoRediscovers vouchers balance.

Getting the best bang for your buck

Moving on to the fun part - the most efficient way to spend them. To save more money, we recommend going with Trip.com especially if you??re keen on hotel stays as you??ll get up to 6% cashback for hotel bookings made via ShopBack. 1.5% cashback is also offered for activities for those who prefer something a little more meaningful.

Trip.com members can also earn Trip Coins (100 Trip Coins = $1, depending on the real-time exchange rate) to pay for bookings in full and access exclusive discounts.

Value-for-money deals

Deals change periodically but here are our top 3 picks which were selected based on price, inclusion of free gifts, as well as the interior design of rooms. Information is accurate at the time of writing.

With prices starting from S$123, you get free breakfast for 2, and S$10 nett F&B credit that can be used in any eatery within the hotel. For something more wholesome, top up S$47 for a complimentary Pizza Making Activity.

Alternatively, opt for their Crystal Club Superior Room at S$161 to access the Crystal Club Lounge and benefits for two, and free laundry service (up to two pieces per day, non-accumulative). After applying the discount, Park Hotel??s rooms range from S$11.50 to S$35 per pax.

Four Points by Sheraton Singapore, Riverview (Four Stars)

Most of their rooms come with a free gift per stay - S$88 nett F&B credit or a complimentary Mookata set and Thai milk Tea for 2. Saturday bookings are pricier but the cheapest we??ve found so far is about S$177 a night. It works out to be $38.50 per pax; a steal if you ask me.

Grand Park City Hall (Five Stars)

If you're looking for a five star hotel but tight on budget, you might want to consider Grand Park City Hall. With S$150, you can get their Deluxe Room which comes with a classy interior powered by smart technology, and free breakfast for 2. Love bath tubs? Top up a little more for the Premier Room to soak the stress away.

Regardless of which hotel you're visiting, we recommend staying on weekdays and avoiding popular check-in timings to minimize the chances of long waits!
